In this special edition of the Leah for Breakfast podcast, we share the full conversation from the Mental Awareness, Respect and Safety (MARS) Program Landmark Study Report With safety, bullying and sexual harassment all big point of conversation and areas for improvement in the mining industry. We spoke with director of the Centre of Transformative Work Design Sharon Parker who led the recent MARS study. Mrs Parker is a John Curtin Distinguished Professor at Curtin University and a world-leading researcher on the topic of work design, as well as other topics such as proactivity, mental health and job performance. The Insights from the Worker Survey and Interviews report surveyed 2,550 WA mine workers to understand their perceptions of mental health awareness, respect and safety.
