Day 1 of Blues On Broadbeach and we are absolutely pumped for it! Flan is the most pumped and this morning he brought in a high tech piece of gear: “The Bluesname Generator” – it’s your worst body feature, your fav fruit and your fav U.S. President! We found out what Flan, Ali and Spidas Bluesname is from it! Ali is back from 3 days away battling a nasty cold and cough – while recovering she had not the best experience when trying to do some ‘life admin’ Spida flew back from Melbourne last night and what he witnessed horrified him and a lot of other passengers! Now that it’s getting into the colder months, Flan Ali and Spida want to build a pie – the peoples pie of the Gold Coast – the first question: Should it be fruit, vegetable or meat? The Triple M Gold Family were very vocal and passionate and the verdict is in: it will be a MEAT pie! Our Pie Coach and foody legend Matt Preston was on the show to offer some meat pie advice!

Pat Fairon is the RSL Gold Coast District President and he spoke to Flan, Ali and Spida about Anzac Day on the Gold Coast. Every year thousands of Gold Coasters head to Elephant Rock in Currumbin for the Currumbin RSL Dawn Service - Flan, Ali and Spida caught up with Currumbin RSL President Michael Humphries. Heston Russell did multiple tours of Afghanistan as an SAS Commander completing over 100 combat missions - we were honoured to have him tell us what Anzac Day means to him. John Williamson has been a regular fixture at the Elephant Rock Dawn Service performing his iconic song 'True Blue' and Flan, Ali and Spida spoke to him about the significance of that song.
